Leche Flan with Browned Sugar Topping
My husband, the Original Cook, made these Leche Flan with whole eggs (he did not separate the egg whites from the egg yolks). These were steamed and when cooked, sugar was sprinkled on top. Instead of being "blowtorched" (ala creme brulee) he placed it in the broiler to brown it. Voila! Leche Flan with Browned Sugar Topping.

minsan, using whole eggs are not that creamy..but this one is far better than the usual

It's a good thing he used all of it. Sayang naman if he didn't.
The sugar topping seems interesting...
For me, leche flan will always be a hit.
uy we have the exact same bowls:) and hubby too is the original master chef in the house:) hmmm, i think i will make some leche flan too because of this theme!
